LEGO's Black Friday page is now live, so details of the offers available from Friday, 24th November to Monday, 27th are now known. They are:

  • 76269 Avengers Tower will be launched on Friday, and 6487484 Taxi will be free if you purchase it during the weekend. Our review of the car will be published later today.
  • 40601 Majisto's Magical Workshop free with purchases over £220 / €250 / $250
  • 40602 Winter Market Stall free with orders exceeding £150 / €170 / $170
  • 30633 Skate Ramp and 30638 Police Bike Training polybags free when you spend over £45 / €50 / $50 on Monday
  • 5008074 Buildable Grey Castle will be available in the Insiders Rewards Centre in exchange for 2,400 points.

Plus, the discounts on sets, in exchange for 0 Insiders points in the Rewards Centre, continues over the weekend, and it's likely that other sets will be reduced as well.

The Grey Castle is a nice surprise.

40601 ends the 26th so not available on cyber monday even if stock should last that long

By cpsdk2 in Denmark,

would also be nice to know what sets will come on sale, because like the webpage is setup there should be "normal" black friday offers beside the sets we need a insider code for the discount

I’m pretty annoyed that those two poly bags are only appearing on Cyber Monday. Wouldn’t it have made more sense for them to appear over the Insiders Weekend instead?

I suspect that the BTS set will see a discount; it’s awfully expensive for what it is, and I wonder if it’s not another Queer Eye scenario in terms of its popularity.

No some people actually wanted the BTS set.

The grey castle is nice, and I build and display castle themes, at £15 of points I can better spend that amount elsewhere.
I don't think the parts will be anywhere near that to source either. I could be wrong.

A (surely well-calculated) shame that the Orient Express will only be available after all these nice offers

The FAQ section has the following to say on the subject:

"LEGO® Black Friday isn't all about sales. Black Friday is the perfect time to purchase that LEGO® gift ahead of the big Christmas rush."

and

"Insiders members get access to great sales and discounts throughout the year. In addition to this, you'll also be entitled to deals throughout Insiders weekend, which is on 18th and 19th November this year, the weekend before Black Friday. Don't forget, Insiders is FREE to join."

Sounds like the answer to your question might be "none".

By daniellesa in United Kingdom,

In past years the sets on sale haven't been desirable ones. I managed to get a decent discount on Ninjago Bounty and then missed out on the Ninjago City Docks because I brought it off Amazon instead when I should have waited a day. After that there's been nothing discounted that I've wanted, so I've spent on insiders weekend instead because double points can get you money off, even if it deducts points as well.

Find it a shame the gwps remain the same, doesn't give much hope that it'll be a good weekend to go wild with the wallet again.

I've decided there's a paradox with K-pop: it's popular but not "cool." K-Pop is like NASCAR or country music: there's a ton of money in those industries and a substantial amount of people who are into them, but this is incomprehensible to people who aren't into them. K-Pop, NASCAR, and country are niche, but *extremely large* niche. Hence, people who don't do K-Pop are baffled that a BTS Lego Set could be a thing.

* Disclosure: my kid is heavily into K-Pop, although she's contrarian on BTS. Now, if there were a Lego set of Twice or TXT, she'd force me to make a day one purchase. I sent her the link to the Ideas Stray Kids set that just hit 10,000 and I'm surprised she hasn't begged me for the (nonexistent) set yet.

The Orient Express will be available with literally dozens of different promo offers, and some will overlap with 2x VIP/Insider points.

You simply need to let go of the idea of Day One Purchases.

If you want to stretch your Lego budget or always receive great promos with your purchases, all you have to do is wait.

I only buy sets on Day One if they come with a promo set I'm highly interested in. (The Avengers Tower with Taxi Promo is a hard pass for me.) And then when a promo that I like becomes available, I have plenty of items on my wanted list.

Day One purchases are only for sets with a special GWP, otherwise you should never buy day one.

I definitely plan to get 5008074, but it's a shame it isn't yellow.

@ResIpsaLoquitur: Lots of things from foreign cultures are that way. Anime, for instance, is a big-money thing in the west, selling not just the shows, but lots of merch. But there are are still people who, if they find out you like it (especially if that interest extends beyond the few that have made it big in the West), will shout, "Neeerrrd!"

Of course it will ...unless you wanted to order it as a chrismas present for someone and saw a chance to snatch some more presents on the way.

I don't think I ever made a Day One purchase precisely because I wholeheartedly agree with you. But I appreciate the advice.

I see an opportunity for pre-built LEGO sets. For people who don't have the time or patience to build them themselves.

By Rimefang in United States,

It's way more fun to go to a Lego Store for a big set that isn't released on a national shopping mega-holiday. I know there's the online option, but a big set is kind of It's own event. I'll probably wait for a weekend I can actually enjoy the experience for buying the Avengers Tower. That taxi cab is not an incentive either.

Saw the leaked image for the Christmas carriage GWP. Might go in for 5008074 Buildable Grey Castle at Black Friday, but wait for a purchase until December 1. Unless if the discounts ar really good, of course.

It looks like a replica of the Knight's Castle from the mid 80s.

It also looks expensive for me to get since it looks easy to make with my own parts (aside from the printed trophy figs - but I can probably get them second hand for much less than this whole castle).
